PhD, MBA, CEng, CITP, FBCS, MBCS, FIIA, MIIA, CISA, QiCA, CFE

Dr Mitchell is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Chartered Information Technology Professional (CITP), a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is also a fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS) and a fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors (FIIA) where he holds its Diploma in Internal Auditing (MIIA) and its Qualification in Computer Auditing (QiCA).

He obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA), with distinction, at Middlesex University, where he majored in Financial Control. His Doctorate (PhD) from City University in London, was awarded for his research into the use of risk management techniques for strategic planning purposes.

Prior to forming LHS he was Deputy Chief Internal Auditor at British Telecom, with special responsibility for the audit of Information Technology and Capital Expenditure. Before joining BT he was Computer Audit Manager at British Gas. Prior to these roles he held senior information systems positions in the local government, educational and aeronautical fields.

With his qualifications and experience he is highly accomplished in corporate governance, business control, computer security, system development, capital expenditure control, dispute resolution and the business implications of safety critical systems.
